“Girl, Interrupted” actress Angelina Jolie caused a media firestorm when she filed for divorce from husband Brad Pitt Monday, but what about the Jolie-Pitt kids? The former couple shares six children together. The children, who range in age from 15 to 8, have not publicly responded to their parents’ split.

Maddox, 15, is the oldest of the Jolie-Pitt brood. He’s been around longer than Pitt. Jolie adopted Maddox when he was 7 months old from an orphanage in Cambodia in 2002. At the time, she was with actor Billy Bob Thorton. Pitt later adopted Maddox.

Zahara, 11, is the second child Jolie adopted. The child, who hails from Ethiopia, was 6 months old when Jolie brought Zahara into her Los Angeles home in 2005. She is following in the family business and had a small speaking role in the film “Kung Fu Panda 3.” Pitt was involved in the adoption even though his relationship with Jolie was new at the time.

Shiloh, 10, is their first biological child. She was born in 2006. Shiloh made international headlines after Jolie told Vanity Fair in 2010 that her daughter “wants to be a boy.” Pitt added that Shiloh likes to be called John during a 2008 interview with Oprah Winfrey.

Pax, 12, was adopted from Vietnam in 2007 when he was 3 years old. Since Vietnam doesn’t allow unmarried couples to adopt, and Jolie and Pitt weren’t married at the time, Pitt applied to be his legal guardian after Jolie brought him back to the United States.

The 8-year-old twins, Vivienne and Knox, are the last of the Jolie-Pitt crew. The actress gave birth to them in France in 2008. Vivienne appeared on screen with her mother for the Disney film “Maleficent.” While many children on the film set were scared of the way Jolie looked in her makeup, Vivienne was the only one who was comfortable around the spooky-looking actress.

Jolie, 41, asked a judge to give Pitt visitation rights. That means she wants full custody of their children. Pitt, 52, did not immediately reveal if he was going to fight for joint custody of the kids.
