KEY POINTS

  • Juggernaut forms a frontal shield that can absorb big bursts of damage
  • Mk. 44 Stand Asides can compliment Juggernaut's frontal shield
  • Slideshot Shotguns are great for shoulder charge playstyles

It has been several seasons since all of the Titan's shoulder charge abilities got nerfed. But the Arc 3.0 update caused the resurgence of one build that previously dominated the Crucible back in the "Forsaken" era.

None of the shoulder charge abilities can one-hit-kill anymore, but they did receive other buffs to compensate. For Strikers, it's the ability to blind enemies and a significantly increased range on the dash.

With the right setup, players can capitalize on these new strengths and turn their Titans into unstoppable tanks in close-range maps.

Recommended Exotics

There are two recommended exotic armor pieces for this build. One encourages going on killing sprees, while the other offers more survivability for wide maps.

The Insurmountable Skullfort automatically refunds melee energy whenever a charged melee ability defeats a target. This is great for tight maps where players can take advantage of cover and corners like Twilight Gap.

On the other hand, the Mk. 44 Stand Asides grants an Overshield while sprinting, and it restores 50 percent of the shoulder charge's energy if it hits an enemy.

Weapons and Class Setup

Predictably, a shotgun is required to make full use of the Seismic Strike ability. A lightweight one with Slideshot (like the Wastelander) is preferable though, technically, any shotgun will suffice. Slide, shoot, then use the shoulder charge to defeat enemies almost instantly.

To support this playstyle, players will need the Knockout and Juggernaut aspects.

Juggernaut will make shoulder charges safer (especially so with the Stand Asides) since it will block either up to 50 damage or a single powerful shot from something like a sniper rifle, a Super or a heavy weapon. Meanwhile, Knockout will help with post-charge cleanup if targets manage to survive.

Use the following fragments to complete the build:

  • Spark of Momentum
  • Spark of Focus
  • Spark of Feedback

Spark of Focus can be replaced with something else if players decide to go for Skullfort. Otherwise, use this when wearing the Mk. 44 Stand Asides.

Armor mods are up to the player's preference. But consider using a Charged With Light build with Heavy-Handed to maximize the uptime of Seismic Strike when using the Stand Asides.
