Destiny 2 Long Arm
The Long Arm, a legendary lever-action Scout Rifle from the Spire of the Watcher dungeon Destiny 2

KEY POINTS

  • Long Arm is a 120RPM Scout Rifle that drops from the Spire of the Watcher
  • Long Arm can take advantage of perks like Under Pressure and High-Impact Reserves
  • The gun can roll with the Redirection perk from the Deep Stone Crypt

The new Season 19 dungeon introduced some fun new toys to use in "Destiny 2," including a legendary lever-action gun that fans of the Dead Man's Tale may want to grind for.

The Long Arm is a 120RPM Scout Rifle that almost performs the same as its exotic counterpart. It may not have the same consistency in terms of hipfire accuracy, but it's got a ton of top-tier perks that more than make up for this drawback.

Players across all of "Destiny 2's" game modes have something to gain from farming this weapon. Here are some of its best perk combinations.

Long Arm PvP Rolls

The Long Arm comes with the usual barrel and ammo perks for its first two columns. Since it's a Scout Rifle, players will want to spec for both range and stability as their primary stats. Handling is a nice stat to invest in as well.

For the third and fourth columns, there are four perks players should look out for:

  • Under Pressure
  • Rapid Hit
  • Explosive Payload
  • Opening Shot
Destiny 2 Long Arm perks
The Long Arm comes with a variety of top-tier perks for PvE and PvP Destiny 2

Since Long Arm reloads two bullets at a time, it's one of the few weapons that can make excellent use of Under Pressure. By intentionally keeping the gun's magazine below half, players will get notable bonuses to their weapon's accuracy and stability, resulting in a more consistent performance at the cost of ammo count.

Any combination containing these four perks will do great against opposing Guardians. It'll be up to the player to find their preference.

Long Arm PvE Rolls

Scout Rifles aren't exactly popular in PvE, but Long Arm brings interesting perks that might just change the public's opinion. The perks listed above can also work extremely well against AI Combatants, though the following might do a better job:

  • Wellspring + Adrenaline Junkie
  • Subsistence + Redirection

Wellspring and Adrenaline Junkie synergize together to grant players improved grenade energy regeneration that stacks with the rest of their armor mods, exotic effects and subclass setups. Meanwhile, Subsistence and Redirection allow for long killstreaks without needing to reload.

Redirection, a perk that was once exclusive to Deep Stone Crypt weapons, makes the Long Arm incredibly versatile as it boosts damage against Majors and Elites by up to 100% depending on how many rank-and-file enemies they defeat beforehand.

Compulsive Reloader and High-Impact Reserves also deserve special mentions here because players can take advantage of them more frequently due to how Long Arm reloads.
