KEY POINTS

  • Deepsight weapons drop randomly from their usual loot sources
  • The Exo Frame provides a few ways to get guaranteed Deepsight drops
  • Legend Heist Battlegrounds grant more Reputation points per completion

The new and reprised weapon sets introduced in "Season of the Seraph" all offer distinct perk combos on top of base weapon stats that are fairly competitive in all game modes of "Destiny 2." To top all of that off, players get to craft these new weapons, assuming they're lucky enough.

Patterns for IKELOS and Seraph are available in their respective loot pools like their counterparts from previous seasons. However, there's plenty of RNG involved.

To help with the seasonal grind, here are a few important tips on how to farm for these red-border weapons in "Destiny 2."

Guaranteed IKELOS Deepsight Drops

As a reminder, IKELOS weapons only drop from Warmind Nodes that are scattered across the Moon, Europa and Seraph Station. Players need Override Frequencies in order to open these nodes.

One method to get guaranteed IKELOS patterns is to open Warmind Nodes aboard the Seraph Station. There are four nodes in total, and they each correspond to a specific weapon. They will always drop Deepsight versions of their respective guns. This still involves luck, though, as there's no way to tell if an Override Frequency will point to the station or not.

IKELOS and Seraph Deepsight Farming

Players should unlock the Focusing Deepsight upgrade from the Exo Frame as soon as possible to get the most out of the time left this season. This will make it so that the first focused IKELOS or Seraph weapon per week will always have Deepsight Resonance available.

This will take a maximum of five weeks to get enough red-border versions of one weapon. Players who want to speed this process up can grind Legend Heist Battlegrounds instead.

Seraph Chests at the end of this activity always drop Seraph gear. However, the important part here is that each Legend difficulty run awards twice the amount of Exo Frame Reputation.

This means players can reset their prestige levels more quickly and get the guaranteed Deepsight weapons from the Level 7 and 13 rewards faster than usual.

Legend Heist Battlegrounds does not have matchmaking. Players will need to go in with friends or ask strangers to join their fireteam via LFG.
