Former President Donald Trump and former First Lady Melania Trump sent Christmas gifts to a seven-year-old girl who was left badly injured after a tornado struck her family home in Missouri in December.

Avalinn Rackley, 7, was filmed by her grandmother, Pam Moore, receiving boxes of gifts from the Trumps.

“These boxes came in the mail, and they are from...President Trump! Both of these boxes. Can you believe it?” Moore said in the video.

“Oh my God!” the brave girl said, as quoted by the Daily Mail.

The gifts included hats signed by the former president, presidential blankets, American Girl Dolls, books signed by both Trumps and bracelets. The boxes were also accompanied by a personal note from the Trumps praising Avalinn’s “steadfast spirit” and “unwavering strength.”

“You will remain in our hearts for complete care and comfort as you continue to recover. Your future potential is limitless. May God bless you and your family,” the Trumps wrote in the note.

Avalinn, who was seen wearing a back brace in Moore’s video, survived after the tornado destroyed her family home in Caruthersville on Dec. 10. The family had moved into the city just a week before the tornado leveled their home.

Avalinn was hiding in the bathroom of her family home with her older sister Annistyn, mother and 3-year-old sibling Lani when the tornado hit their home and flung them to a nearby field. The 7-year-old suffered from a distended stomach and several broken vertebrae in her back.

Lani, the youngest, suffered from hairline fractures in her vertebrae. She was released from the hospital shortly after the incident, according to People.

Avalinn’s older sister was killed in the tornado while her mother, Meghan, was left with multiple broken bones, deep lacerations to her abdomen and traumatic brain injury. She has been recovering from severe brain trauma and woken up from a coma.

Avalinn’s family was one of the many households that were affected by multiple tornadoes that struck the South and Midwest in early December. The tornadoes tore through Kentucky, Illinois, Missouri, Tennessee and Arkansas the night of Dec. 10 and the early hours of Dec. 11.
