Australian Apple blog MacFixIt has obtained photos of what it says is the rear cover of the new iPhone 6.

The dimensions of the case in the photo align with previous rumors that at least one version of the iPhone 6 will come with a 4.7-inch screen (diagonal). Rumors have it there will also be a 5.5-inch version.

The picture shows a case with a green protective covering on it that is removed upon sale. The case appears to be a grey color similar to the grey Apple uses on its Macbook line of laptops, as seen around the holes left for the flash and camera.

MacFixIt credits a “contact in China” for the leaked photo.

“We believe the picture to be genuine as we have previously received leaked product pics in the past from the same source that has also proven to be legitimate after official Apple product launches,” the blog post reads.

For comparison, Samsung's Galaxy S5 has a 5.1-inch screen, the Sony Xperia Z2 has a 5.2-inch screen and the HTC One M8 has a 5 inch screen.

Foxconn is reportedly taking on 70 percent of the production for both model sizes. Experts say the iPhone 6 will be released in August.
