Florida police say John Robin Whittle, a 52-year-old Tampa Bay area man, ordered a beer at a bar, left to go rob a bank, and then returned to the same bar to finish his beer. Whittle was arrested at the Hayloft Bar in Port Richey on Thursday, shortly after he had robbed a Wells Fargo bank.

One of the bartenders at Hayloft Bar said that Whittle disappeared for roughly 30 minutes after he had ordered his brew, but when he returned to the bar to finish his draft, police arrived shortly thereafter and arrested him. Ten minutes earlier, the Wells Whittle had only left the bank 10 minutes prior to being arrested, deputies from the Pasco County Sheriff's Office said.

Whittle said he wouldn't let a good beer go to waste, according to police.

Whittle remains in jail Friday on a $10,000 bond. No attorney has been listed for him yet.
