KEY POINTS

  • Mike "Sugar Bear" Thompson had a $67K makeover
  • He got a set of new teeth and Botox on his face
  • He also had a procedure for his receding hairline

Mike "Sugar Bear" Thompson just had a dramatic makeover after "Mama June: Road to Redemption" ended its sixth season last month.

The 50-year-old did not just get a set of new teeth; he also had Botox and a hairline procedure to complete his "younger" look.

"I haven't stopped looking in the mirror. I don't recognize the man in the mirror," he said in a statement to Page Six Style.

Thompson was proud of his transformation and said the cosmetic and dental makeover was worth it because he now looks younger.

"I never thought I could have a smile I would be proud of, and I really love the Botox because I look a lot younger," he continued.

Alana "Honey Boo Boo" Thompson's dad used to hide his receding hairline with a baseball cap and smiled with his mouth closed because of his teeth. But in the "after" photo obtained by the outlet, he proudly flaunted the result of his transformation.

Interestingly, Mama June's ex had to spend a fortune for his Hollywood makeover. According to his manager, Gina Rodriguez, the dental makeover, hair transplant and Botox cost a total of $66,800.

Rodriguez noted that the hairline procedure alone from Jacques Abrahamian at Pasadena's LA FUE Hair Clinic was worth $30,000.

It appears Sugar Bear has already moved on from what went down on their reality show in the recently concluded season. In the finale, he got emotional when asked to sign Alana's custody papers.

"[Alana's] the only thing I got," Mike said while wiping his tears in front of Pumpkin's husband, Josh Efird.

Meanwhile, aside from Sugar Bear, Honey Boo Boo is also gearing up for a physical transformation. She revealed last month that she was getting weight loss surgery after trying all sorts of diets and weight loss regimens.

"I know for a fact I could get in the gym, and I know for a fact I could diet, and I know for a fact I can do this to lose my weight. I've tried. I will say I've tried, but the one thing with me is I have no motivation. I have no motivation to just keep going to the gym every day," the reality star, who turned 17 on Sunday, told Entertainment Tonight.

Rodriguez, who also manages the teen star, said Honey Boo Boo would be heading to Queens, New York, in late August to have a suture sculpt endoscopic sleeve, so she could drop her weight from 275 pounds to 150.
