Meghan Markle’s British fashion awards selfie was recently taken down by the royal family.

Earlier this week, the Duchess of Sussex graced an event that recognized the works of fashion designer Clare Waight Keller. After the awards show, Markle posed with Clare and Rosamund Pike in a GIF-style snap. The picture was uploaded on the official Instagram account of the British Fashion Council.

A few minutes later, podcast “Royally Obsessed” noted that the selfie of the trio has been deleted from the social media account. The people behind the account also shared the same photo on Instagram.

“The #DuchessOfSussex hasn’t given up her Hollywood after-party roots just yet. On Monday, after her surprise appearance at the #BritishFashionAwards (to present the Womenswear Designer of the Year award to her wedding dress creator, @clarewaightkeller), #MeghanMarkle hopped in a photo booth with Rosamund Pike and Keller,” they captioned the snap.

Royally Obsessed acknowledged the fact that they do not know for sure why Markle’s photo with the two other women was taken down, but they have some speculations. They said that the snap might have been deleted because some brands were tagged in the post.

“It may have been the sponsored hashtags (Swarovski was tagged in the post) since the palace notoriously avoids Spon Con like the plague. Or the Queen could be totally against photos booths?” the outlet wrote.

Royals are also not allowed to take selfies, so this could be another reason why the picture was taken down by the British Fashion Council. But regardless of why it was deleted, Markle looked as though she had a blast during her reunion with her wedding dress designer.

After presenting Keller with the award, the designer gushed over Prince Harry’s wife in return.

“This woman is so amazing. I got to know Meghan on such a personal level, and to have someone like that trust you in an incredible moment in their life is something that is just the most unbelievable honor and I can’t thank you enough,” Keller said.
