Michelle Obama recently faced backlash after she opened up about President Donald Trump’s possible impeachment.

While in Vietnam, the ex-FLOTUS said that the large split among the Americans regarding Trump’s impeachment is surreal.

“We are all here as part of this country. We all want the same things, it’s just sometimes that gets lost in the noise,” she said.

Barack Obama’s wife also said that the ongoing impeachment proceedings shouldn’t be viewed as a battle of “us or them” or of Democrats vs. Republicans.

Following her interview, critics slammed the ex-FLOTUS on social media. Twitter user @tampazopoulos called the former first lady an “orangutan.” Twitter user @TStavole called Barack’s wife ugly.

“This is coming from the woman who said for the first time she is proud to be an American is after her husband was elected president,” Twitter user @ShadowB88750056 said.

“Her husband did everything possible to divide people by race, by income level and against Law Enforcement and now she wants everyone to come together?” Twitter user @MGM47061 said.

“Why would anyone care what these clowns have to say. Obama was the biggest divider of this nation. I hated how, instead of waiting for the court to bring out the truth, he immediately went on stage and accused the police of brutality, causing the shooting of many good officers!” Twitter user @TrentDaniel15 said.

“Who cares what she thinks. She and her husband just about ruined this country,” Twitter user @BrewstersSmoke said.

Meanwhile, some people also praised the former first lady. Twitter user @66KyColt called Michelle classy and added that she misses her and Barack so much.

“She is a great lady and her opinions are always current and thoughtful,” Twitter user @Limelitelady said.

Some supporters have also been encouraging Michelle to run for president next year especially after she posted about #BlackGirlMagic.

“Yes, Queen! Anyway, please run for president,” Twitter user @naynanjani wrote.
