Michelle Obama moved fans anew by sharing an emotional video on social media on Tuesday. The former First Lady took to Instagram and Twitter to promote her memoir titled “Becoming,” which celebrated its first anniversary recently.

“The pages of the journal are meant to be an invitation, a place where you can come to meet yourself on your own terms. While there are questions and prompts that can help spark your process of reflection, I hope you use this journal in whatever way speaks to you. Because no thought is too mundane, no feeling is too messy, and no experience is too raw. It all matters, every single bit of it,” Michelle wrote in the caption. “When we recognize that, we’ll not only see the beauty in our own stories, but we’ll be more open to celebrating the imperfections of each other’s stories, too,” she went on.

In the clip, Michelle Obama promoted her journal as a way to help people be not afraid to tell their stories. The wife of former President Barack Obama even encouraged everyone to savor all the tiny moments in life and document them as much as possible.

Netizens were quick to praise Michelle for her strong words of inspiration and encouragement. “You are a constant source of light and inspiration. Thank you for all that you are doing and all that you have done,” one fan wrote on Twitter. “This is a very special woman and I love her to bits, such an incredible 1st Lady and amazing human being in every way, such a role model for us all,” Carla Willson said.
