Summer is coming to an end which means for many people, school is right around the corner. It can be a little tough saying goodbye to your summer vacation but thankfully Netflix is here to make things a tad bit easier with hilarious and heart-warming back-to-school movies perfect to watch before you head back into the classroom.

All you need to watch these back-to-school flicks is your Netflix account log-in information. If you don’t have an account you can sign-up for a plan, which starts at $7.99 a month or try a 30-day free trial.

So, grab a comfortable spot on the couch and check out these six movies about returning to high school or college.

  1. “Bring It On” (2000)

Hopefully the school year will go a lot smoother for you than it does for the Toro cheerleading squad in this comedy. For Toro captain Torrance (Kirsten Dunst) the school year starts off great when she is elected to take over the cheerleading team. Things quickly crash and burn when she founds out the Toro’s killer moves were stolen from another cheer squad, the Clovers.

  1. “Seventeen Again” (2000)

While many people wouldn’t imagine going back to high school once they graduate, that’s exactly what happens to Sydney (Tia Mowry) and Willie’s (Tahj Mowry) grandparents after a science-project-gone-wrong makes them young again. Even though the grandparents don’t get along, they are able to make the most of their (second) high school experience.

  1. “Dope” (2015)

It’s safe to say senior year of high school can be pretty tough. You’re trying to pass all your classes, figure out what college to attend and still spend time with your friends. In this 2015 drama Malcolm (Shameik Moore) has quite the stressful senior year when he becomes entangled with a drug dealer named Dom after a wild night out.

  1. “Mean Girls” (2004)

In this classic back-to-school comedy Cady Heron (Lindsay Lohan) finds out the hard way that being the new student at school can be tough, especially when you become friends with the wrong clique. At first, Cady seems to like the attention she gets from “the Plastics,” a group of cool female students, but soon realizes being popular isn’t all it’s cracked up to be.

  1. “High School Musical” (2006)

Nothing helps making the return to school a little easier than the start of a romance and killer musical sequences. In this film, star athlete Troy (Zac Efron) falls for the nerdy Gabriella (Vanessa Hudgens), but their romance hits a bump in the road when the jealous Sharpay (Ashley Tisdale) does her best to drive a wedge between them.

  1. “Grease” (1978)

“Grease” might be one of the best known back-to-school movies. The film, which was recently made into a live musical —also available to stream on Netflix — has been a classic go-to movie for young adults thanks to its relatable storyline and catchy songs. It’s always great to have this movie on your list of films to watch before heading back to school.
