Sept. 28 can’t come soon enough for “Once Upon a Time” fans. As anticipation builds for Season 4, the ABC fairy-tale drama has been keeping viewers happy with little sneak peeks. The latest? A look at the “Frozen” storyline in the Season 4 premiere script!

The official “Once Upon a Time” Twitter posted a photo over the weekend of the premiere script. While it certainly wasn’t a full page or ridden with juicy spoilers, it did give fans a first look at what to expect between new characters Elsa and Anna.

In the Season 4 premiere script, Elsa tells Anna that she has a surprise for her. Anna sassily responds, “Really? Because surprises tend to be hit or miss in this family.”

For those unfamiliar with Elsa and Anna, they are characters from Disney’s 2013 hit animated film, “Frozen.” The girls are sisters and princesses from Arendelle. While they love each other dearly, Elsa’s powers to control snow and ice forced their parents to keep them apart. After a tragic accident the girls are reunited, but an upset Elsa accidentally casts an eternal winter upon their beloved city. The movie follows Anna and her friend Kristoff as they search for Elsa and attempt to break the spell on Arendelle.

Elsa was introduced during the “Once Upon a Time” Season 3 finale when Emma and Hook returned from the Enchanted Forest of the past. The two knowingly brought back one person – who turned out to be Maid Marian, Robin Hood’s “dead” wife.” But what they didn’t realize is that an urn hidden in Rumplestiltskin’s dungeon hitched a ride as well. The urn spilled open, forming the “Frozen” snow queen.

It’s unclear how the new “Frozen” characters will interact with other Storybrooke characters in Season 4, but a synopsis teases that viewers will learn about Elsa and Anna’s past via time travel. A flashback will reveal how Elsa ended up a prisoner of Rumplestiltskin, as well as what happened to Anna and Kristoff.

The question on the minds of “Once Upon a Time” fans now is whether Elsa will be a friend or foe to Emma, Hook, Mary Margaret, David, Regina and the other fairy-tale characters in Storybrooke.

Season 4 of “Once Upon a Time” will premiere on ABC on Sunday, Sept. 28, at 8 p.m. EDT. What do you think will happen with the “Frozen” characters in the premiere? Tweet your thoughts to @AmandaTVScoop.
