“Parenthood” will air its Season 6 premiere on Thursday, Sept. 25, so get the tissues ready. It looks like the new season will definitely cause some angst for viewers. Not only are some of the show’s best couples in trouble, but even a Braverman might be in grave danger. Check out what spoilers you need to know for “Parenthood” Season 6:

Julia And Joel’s Separation

The estranged couple was on good terms at the end of last season, but that doesn’t mean they’re reuniting. In fact, Julia (Erika Christensen) seems to be moving on. Julia’s ex from college, Chris (Coby Ryan McLaughlin) will return to her life, and they might even be in a relationship. Either Joel (Sam Jaeger) or Julia will be involved in a new relationship, TV Guide reported. Since Joel is going to want Julia back this year, we’re guessing Julia will be the one in a relationship.

Amber’s Pregnancy

It looks like Amber’s (Mae Whitman) pregnancy test is going to be positive. In a promo for "Parenthood" Season 6, she is seen looking at an ultrasound. Amber and Ryan (Matt Lauria) hooked up while he was hospitalized, but they weren’t officially together. In fact, Ryan was going back to Wyoming with his mother -- who made it clear that she didn’t like Amber. According to reports, Amber’s baby daddy won’t appear in Season 6 until episode 3, TV Line reported.

Hank’s Ex-Wife

Hank’s (Ray Romano) ex Sandy (Betsy Brandt) will return to town. Fans will remember that she had moved out to Minnesota in Season 4 with their daughter. Hank had followed them for a while, but ultimately decided that he belonged in California. Sandy might make Sarah (Lauren Graham) a little uncomfortable. Sandy will not return the feeling immediately -- but she might once Hank finally tells her about Sarah. It seems Hank has been withholding details about his personal life.

Possible Death

Showrunner Jason Katims teased audiences by saying he wanted to explore “the cycle of life” in “Parenthood” Season 6. He basically confirmed that he was referring to a death late this summer. “We've never told a story about losing someone in the family, and that is a very difficult story for us to tell,” Katims said to TV Line. “But it's one that I feel is a reality.” It's hard to imagine losing a Braverman, but it seems like it's going to happen.
