Queen Elizabeth II is reportedly no longer fond of Netflix's "The Crown," according to one journalist.

In a past report, a source claimed that the Queen loves "The Crown." However, Adam Helliker, a journalist for Express, recently revealed that this may have changed because the monarch apparently didn't like the way the show depicted Prince Philip.

According to the Helliker, the Queen is displeased with one episode showing Prince Charles enduring an unhappy time during his schooldays. It was Prince Philip who reportedly insisted that the Prince of Wales attend a spartan Scottish public school, overruling the Queen's preference for Eton.

"The Queen realises that many who watch The Crown take it as an accurate portrayal of the Royal Family and she cannot change that," a senior courtier said. "But I can convey that she was upset by the way Prince Philip is depicted as being a father insensitive to his son’s wellbeing. She was particularly annoyed at a scene in which Philip has no sympathy for a plainly upset Charles while he is flying him home from Scotland. That simply did not happen."

Royal author Hugo Vickers also disapproved of how the royal family is portrayed in the Netflix series and said it is a problem because many believe it. "The problem is that it is well written, well acted and lavishly filmed. Which makes it much worse as it perverts the truth – whole episodes are built around fabrications," he told Helliker.

The Duke of Edinburgh is apparently also not a fan of the show. In fact, Prince Philip reportedly snapped when asked about it.

"A friend had dinner next to him and asked him if he'd watched 'The Crown,'" Matt Smith, who plays Prince Philip in the series, told Mirror. "He turned around to him and went, 'Don't be ridiculous.' Apparently, the Queen has but we don't know."

But Smith revealed that based on his research, Prince Philip is a likable person. He is apparently the favorite royal in the palace.

"All the research I did found him to be brilliantly funny, very clever, very popular," Smith said. "In the Royal house, he's the most popular of all of them. If you've talked to any of the staff, Philip’s the one they all love really."
