A recent video that has gone viral proved that animals care for each other or in some cases, better than humans.

The 10-second video was uploaded by Facebook user Leonardo Zapata on his social media page. Since then, the clip has garnered more than 6,000 interactions, 500 comments and was shared 13,000 times.

Maritime Herald, who was among the thousands to share the touching video, said that it even spread all throughout the Internet and not just on Facebook. The viral video was also shared through other social media outfits and became an instant hit to users in the United States, Canada and Mexico.

The video didn't say much, but it clearly showed that animals, even if they are of different species, understand what one is going through. In this case, a fish, who most likely jumped out of the water, found itself stranded on a rock.

While its head is still submerged, half of its body remained out of the water. It can still breathe, but if it can't free itself from the unusual predicament, it'll soon die.

The fish struggled mightily, but its efforts were useless.

Fortunately, a baby turtle came swimming by and decided to help the poor fish. The reptile, who shares the pond with the fish, nibbled at its mouth and was able to free itself after a couple of tail flaps.

Thai customs have found 451 turtles worth 1 million baht ($33,000) stashed in suitcases offloaded from a passenger flight from Bangladesh, the latest seizure of live creatures at Bangkok's bustling Suvarnabhumi airport. Turtles of varying sizes worth around 2,000 baht apiece in Thai markets, and seven false gavials, a type of freshwater crocodile worth 10,000 baht each, were found on Thursday in small bags packed into cases after authorities received a tip off that a known trafficker was on his way to Thailand. There were no high fives, no thank yous, no words of gratitude, but despite of its short length, resonated a powerful lesson for humans to emulate. It's not just helping those who are in need, it's giving a hand to everyone without expecting something in return.

Some of the comments pointed to the fact that the turtle wanted to eat the fish but ended up “saving” it and became an instant Internet sensation. However, there were some who regarded it as a sign of “solidarity and respect.”

One even said that animals are showing that they “better living beings than humans.”

Be that as it may, one take look at the video and take it with a grain of salt. It's a story, nonetheless, and it'll have meaning depending on what side of the coin one is looking at. Those who left their comments on the post have spoken their mind, and it doesn't need to be a basis whether you believe it or not.
