Better start looking over your shoulder now, because Season 4 of our favorite vengeance-seeking drama, “Revenge,” will premiere on Sunday. Think you’re prepared for the wildly twisted next installment of the hit ABC series? If not, check out the 11 things we learned about the fourth season of “Revenge” and stay one step ahead of the game à la Emily Thorne (Emily VanCamp):

1. Season 4 Premiere Synopsis

Emily will host her “most surprising party ever” in episode 1, “Renaissance,” according to the summary. But as Emily sips champagne in her pretty party dress, Victoria (Madeleine Stowe) will “find a way to turn her greatest setback into a dangerous advantage.”

When we last saw Victoria in the Season 3 finale of “Revenge,” she was locked away in a mental hospital after Emily had struck her in the head with a shovel. Victoria woke up restrained, screaming how Emily was actually Amanda Clarke. This was the final piece to Emily’s puzzle of seeking revenge. However, unbeknownst to them both, David Clarke (James Tupper) is actually alive. David will plan his next move, according to the synopsis, when Season 4 premieres.

2. Victoria Makes a Friend

According to reports, Victoria will make a friend in the mental institution -- a woman named Phyllis (Yeardley Smith). Promo photos from episode 1 reveal that the two roomies end up hitting it off while in the psychiatric institution.

3. Victoria Escapes

Victoria may be locked away for now, but soon Stowe’s character will find a way to escape the mental hospital. And when she does, she’ll come after the person who put her there: Emily.

“Victoria has obviously done terrible things,” executive producer Aaron Harberts explained at the 2014 ATX Festival. “She’s obviously a very messed-up character. She’s one of the most fun characters to write. But at the end of the day when she manages to get out, she is going to be setting her sights on Emily. [Victoria’s] going to be pissed.”

4. A Friend on the Inside

So, how will Victoria get out of the hospital? We’re not exactly sure, but we think it may be with the help of Victoria’s new friend, Edward Alvarez (Nestor Serran). His character plays the role of a “commanding, perceptive police chief” who is surprisingly in Victoria’s corner.

“We’re just starting to explore his character right now,” executive producer Sunil Nayar told TVLine. “He’s a friend of Victoria’s on the force who really has her back at a time when she needs someone to have her back. We’re not sure exactly where we’re headed with the character, but we like the idea of her having an ally in a position of an authority.”

5. Emily Goes Dark

No, we don’t mean she goes from blonde to brunette. According to the show’s EP Gretchen J. Berg, “Emily will start in a wounded place next year.” Looks like our good friend Em will be examining “not only who she is as Amanda Clarke” but what that means for the people around her. Instead of fleeing, a previous instinct for Emily, the show’s protagonist will be confronting the truth quite a bit in Season 4.

6. Blast from the Past

A friend from Amanda’s past will make her “Revenge” debut, when a character named Crystal Chandelier pays the Hamptons a visit. According to E! News, Miss Crystal also happens to be a stripper.

7. Jack Goes Wild

Nick Wechsler, who plays the role of Jack, revealed during the 2014 ATX Festival that fans of the good guy will get to watch him participate in some dirty deeds in the new season of “Revenge.” Although he’d never take part in an immoral act, Wechsler claimed he’ll definitely be breaking some rules when the season returns for its fall premiere. “He wants justice, and his feelings for [Emily] will draw him into morally complex [situations],” Wechsler added.

8. Emily’s New Love Interest

Although it feels like yesterday that Aiden was killed off, TVLine teases that “Revenge” will be adding a new character to its Season 4 plot that will make Emily red in the cheeks. The new addition will be a “childhood friend of Jack’s” who has PTSD from his days in the military. His visit to the Hamptons will be made permanent after his buddy experiences something life-altering. This means Jack’s friend will have time to make friends with the locals -- and Emily.

9. Aiden Tribute

Aiden may be dead, but his memory certainly isn’t. According to Berg, Aiden’s presence will be felt throughout the fourth season of “Revenge.” “One of the things we’re going to keep alive [in Season 4] is the memory of Aiden, because he was such a huge part of the show,” Berg said. “He supported Emily a way that a lot other people weren’t able to do because of the experience they shared together.”

10. David Drama

Now that we know David is alive, how will he affect the plot of Season 4? Well, according to Harberts, the reprisal of David will stir up a lot of drama in the Hamptons.

“The character David Clarke is going to cause a lot of problems,” Harberts hinted, “because he is definitely a point where these two women’s lives [Amanda and Victoria] intersect.”
