After the successful launch of the mobile version of "Shiba Eternity," the first collectible card game (CCG) developed by Playside Studios for the Shiba Inu ecosystem, it is believed that the devs are currently testing the game's blockchain version, and it is only a matter of time before the Shib Army can enjoy it along with its perks.

SHIB climbed a few notches higher over the weekend after the Shiba Inu development team, headed by pseudonymous lead developer Shytoshi Kusama, dropped major updates about Shibarium and its official website. But, it looks like there is more to Kusama's comments than meets the eye. One Shib Army thinks the devs are already testing the blockchain version of the collectible card game.

The observation was shared on Twitter by former Shiba Inu Growth Breed member and social media influencer who goes by the Twitter handle LucieShib. Over the weekend, LucieShib noted that Kusama, aside from his comments about Shibarium, might be hinting at something.

"Shytoshi seems to be trying to hint at something," LucieShib tweeted, adding that "I wonder if Shytoshi [was] testing Shiba Eternity on the blockchain." The social media influencer, however, told her more than 61,000 followers that her inference about Kusama's recent statements is nothing but her "crazy fantasy" and her habit of "reading between the lines."

However, the social media influencer's inference might not be that far from the truth. In October, Kusama highlighted the reason behind the Shiba Inu team's intention to push for the game's immediate release.

The lead developer revealed that "Shiba Eternity" was launched so it could "build something we can use and use to test Shibarium." In January, Kusama mentioned that the blockchain version of "Shiba Eternity" will be "licensed solely to the decentralized team at Shiba Inu for use on Shibarium."

For those not familiar with the blockchain version of "Shiba Eternity," it is also a collectible card game similar to the non-crypto mobile version. However, the blockchain version will allow players to use Non-Fungible Tokens (NFTs) from the 10,000 Shiboshis collection in the game to earn reward tokens, which according to earlier claims, is called TREAT.

Details about the game's blockchain version are scarce at this stage. In other "Shiba Eternity" news, William Volk, the alpha director of Shiba Inu Games, said the CCG is the "highest-rated card game and one of the best things" he had "worked on in my entire career."

The launch of the blockchain version of "Shiba eternity" will surely introduce more use cases to Shiba Inu, to its NFT Shiboshi and Shibarium.

After briefly surging over the weekend, SHIB tumbled and was trading down 2.20% at $0.000008393 as of 15:17 a.m. ET on Tuesday with a 24-hour volume of $206,469,921, according to the latest data from CoinMarketCap.
