It is just a matter of days before the Shib Army finally gets their hands on the documentation and tries for themselves through the beta testing of the highly anticipated layer-2 solution of the Shiba Inu ecosystem based on the latest update shared by its pseudonymous lead developer Shytoshi Kusama.

SHIB, the native token of the Shiba Inu ecosystem, has barely climbed back to its high price after the crypto market saw prolonged winter caused by the controversial collapse of the crypto empire FTX.

But, it looks like the Shiba Army, most of them with diamond hands, is not dumping SHIB anytime soon, with reports claiming that the token instead became one of the top assets held by whales, proving the crypto asset is attracting more interest from other investors and traders.

The optimism of the community could be due to the imminent launch of some of the upcoming projects Shiba Inu developers have been working on, one of which is Shibarium.

Over the past few days, Kusama, the passionate lead developer of Shiba Inu, has been active on Twitter and other social media platforms, spreading the positivity of the holidays and providing the community with cryptic updates.

But on Thursday, contrasting their previous style, Kusama shared on Twitter that Shibarium is in its final development stage and suggested that its launch is imminent after they tweeted that they had met with the Unification, the team working with the Shiba Inu developers in the development of Shibarium.

"Love meeting with the team from @UnificationUND about #Shibarium. Aligning. Onboarding. Finalizing. Soon. Very soon," the tweet read.

On Wednesday, Kusama was on the official Telegram channel of Shiba Inu, and former Shiba Inu Growth Breed member and social media influencer who goes by the Twitter handle @LucieSHIB shared some of the conversations where the lead developer mentioned interesting details about Shibarium.

This included the timeline of activities for Shibarium, including the documentation and beta testing.

"But seriously... I'm just putting a nice bow on it so we can reach those outside the army and then there are a lot of docs to organize and put up and then VOILA. And THEN THE REAL WORKS START," Kusama said, detailing the plan for the Shibarium documentation.

"That's BETA though okay so then next year there is testing and organizing and UX updates and theeeeeeen we launch. We won't rush," the lead developer noted, highlighting that the official launch will be next year.

Later, Kusama was on the Telegram channel again and, this time mentioned that the team is only working with Unification/XFUND in the development of Shibarium and no one else, stating that they have to say this fact to stop any disinformation.

"But yeah, Unification only for Shibarium. There are no other options and we aren't considering any other," they said, adding that, "just trying to stop any mis/ disinformation."

As of 11:00 p.m. ET on Thursday, SHIB was trading up 2.29% at $0.000008119 with a 24-hour volume of $147,656,571, according to the latest data from CoinMarketCap.
