‘Teen Wolf’ Season 5 Spoilers: New Gay Characters To Be Introduced; Will Danny Return?

It’s no secret that “Teen Wolf” fans want a gay couple on the show, and they might be getting their wish in Season 5. Of course, it’s not exactly what they're hoping for. There is a huge portion of fans who want Stiles (Dylan O’Brien) and Derek (Tyler Hoechlin) together. While the writers still haven’t confirmed anything about Sterek, they are adding two new gay characters to the MTV scripted series.

“Teen Wolf” Season 5 will introduce a new couple, Corey and Lucas, TV Line reports. The pair will be introduced in episode 4, titled “Condition Terminal.” Despite the ominous title, Corey will survive and become a recurring character -- but his boyfriend might not. Lucas is only referred to a guest star.

Both boys will be in danger right away. Corey will find himself undergoing an operation for “a strange, painful wound.” Meanwhile, Lucas is described as an introverted guy “who has become an aggressive problem at a club.” The actors starring in the roles have not yet been announced.

What we don’t know how Scott (Tyler Posey) and the rest of the gang will tie into the new character's storylines. Since Melissa McCall (Melissa Ponzio) is a nurse, it seems likely that Corey would interact with her. If Lucas doesn’t survive his “aggressive problem,” perhaps Corey can rebound with Danny (Keahu Kahuanui). Remember him? For a long time, Danny was the only gay character on “Teen Wolf,” but he disappeared in Season 4.

“You have not seen the last of Danny,” executive producer Jeff Davis said at San Diego Comic-Con in July. "Teen Wolf" Season 4 was jam-packed with different storylines, so there may not have been a logical way to put Danny in the show. Perhaps, these new characters will bring Danny’s long awaited return. With filming underway and the cast’s tendency to tweet pictures, it’ll be hard for “Teen Wolf” to keep it a secret if Danny does return.
