After President Donald Trump signed an executive order Jan. 27, banning travellers from seven Muslim-majority countries from entering the United States, many people including popular celebrities took to social media to voice their collective outrage. Some people used Twitter to share their own immigration stories, while others reminded their followers of Jewish refugees that were turned away during the Holocaust.

A Twitter page, called St. Louis Manifest, shared names and photos of Jewish refugees who were killed or turned away from U.S. borders.

The ban on some Muslims from entering the country was partially undone by federal judges late Saturday. Trump's controversial order also led to protests at numerous airports around the country, where immigration officials were detaining people who had flown in from countries on the list.

Here's what some well-known celebrities said in protest agains Trump's Friday order.
