President Trump on Sunday openly blamed Georgia Gov. Brian Kemp for the use of the Dominion Voting Machines, which Trump's team claims to be involved in voter fraud. Trump, in his first post-election interview, said he was "ashamed" that he endorsed Kemp in July 2018.

Trump, who narrowly lost Georgia in the Nov. 3 election, complained that Kemp and his team haven’t done anything to prevent voter fraud.

"Everything has to be approved by the legislature, and they had judges making deals, and they had electoral officials making deals like this character in Georgia who’s a disaster,” Trump said about Georgia Secretary of State Brad Raffensperger in the telephone interview with Fox News' Maria Bartiromo.

"And the governor’s done nothing. He’s done absolutely nothing. I’m ashamed that I endorsed him. But I look what’s going on. It's so terrible,” Trump said about Kemp.

Trump spoke for 45 minutes with Bartiromo on “Sunday Morning Futures.” The Fox Business News host did not challenge Trump on his claims.

After the recounts in Georgia last week, the state verified that Joe Biden was the winner. Kemp did sign off on the verifications and said that the president can make legal challenges.

There has been no proof or evidence of voter fraud in Georgia.

Georgia, which has 16 electoral votes, voted for a Democratic nominee for the first time since 1992. Trump's comments come as twin run-off Senate elections are set for Jan. 5.
