If you’re behind on “The Vampire Diaries,” you’ll have to catch up fast. The CW drama is releasing Season 6 on Netflix for fans’ to binge-watch before the Season 7 premiere, but viewers only have six days to catch up on all the Mystic Falls drama.

“The Vampire Diaries” Season 6 premieres on Oct. 2 on Netflix (along with over 75 other titles), while Season 7 starts Oct. 8 on the CW. All 22 Season 6 episodes of the romantic vampire drama will be available to anyone with a Netflix subscription.

If you’re having a little trouble remembering where Season 6 started, let’s take a brief walk down memory lane. The other side was destroyed, and Alaric (Matt Davis) returned to life. Unfortunately, Damon (Ian Somerhalder) didn’t escape in time, and Bonnie (Kat Graham), as the anchor to the other side, was seemingly killed with the mystical place. Damon and Bonnie were trapped together, but they both disappeared in a flash of white light at the end of Season 5.

When Season 6 kicked off, Elena (Nina Dobrev) was mourning both her friends, and she wasn’t doing it in a healthy way. Meanwhile, Alaric had to deal with being a vampire while looking for a way to help Caroline (Candice King) bring back Bonnie and Damon. Stefan (Paul Wesley), however, wasn’t on their research team. The brooding vampire seemed to completely move on after his brother went missing. “The Vampire Diaries” Season 6 is filled with twists as Bonnie and Damon try to get home, Elena tries to move on and the whole cast loses someone very important to them.
