Someone find out if Maury Povich survived the zombie apocalypse in “The Walking Dead” world because we need a paternity test!

As fans of the hit AMC series know, Lori (Sarah Wayne Callies) had an affair with Shane (Jon Bernthal) in season one when she believed her husband Rick (Andrew Lincoln) to be dead. She ended up pregnant and fans were left wondering if the baby’s father was Rick or Shane. Unfortunately, during a zombie apocalypse, paternity tests are hard to come by. Ultimately, Rick was left to care for the baby after he was forced to kill Shane at the end of season two and when Lori passed away during child birth in season three.

“Walking Dead” fans were left to believe that they would never learn who is baby Judith’s biological father, but Bernthal recently said that he knows the truth! While at the Wizard World Chicago Comic Con over the weekend, Bernthal answered a couple questions about the zombie series, including who he thinks is the father.

“100% Shane’s baby,” the actor told the crowd, according to Comicbook.com. “That baby’s going to have a big, old busted nose and giant a-- ears. You know what I mean. 100% Shane’s baby.”

It’s unclear if the paternity of Judith will ever be addressed on the show, but we’re sure Lincoln would disagree with Bernthal’s declaration.

Judith will continue to appear on “The Walking Dead” when the show returns for its fourth season on Sunday, Oct. 13, and surprisingly she won’t be the only baby. Executive Producer Greg Nicotero previously told TV Guide that “there’s a little hint of [a zombie baby] in the premiere.”
