Who is Alia Shawkat?

Well, according to sources close to Brad Pitt, the actress is just a friend. The “Arrested Development” star has been identified as the “mystery woman” who attended the Thundercat concert with Pitt over the weekend, TMZ reports.

There were "no clear signs of PDA," between the two, who were later joined by singer-songwriter Beck Hansen during the show.

Shawkat and Pitt have reportedly attended a number of events and places together including comedy shows and museums over the past few months. However, sources told TMZ that things are strictly platonic.

The 30-year-old actress has appeared in a number of indie films including “Whip It” (2009), “The Runaways” (2010), “Cedar Rapids” (2011), and “The To Do List” (2013). She also landed a lead role in the TBS series “Search Party.”

In a 2017 interview, Shawkat opened up about her dating life and whether or not she has a type.

“I haven’t been in a lot of relationships,” she explained. “I have, like, whatever, intimacy issues.I’m attracted to a certain kind of quiet strength. Sometimes they end up being nihilistic [expletive], but I’m drawn to that kind of mysterious-strength thing.”

In 2017, the actress also revealed to Out magazine that she was bisexual.

“Now I consider myself bisexual, and I think balancing my male and female energies has been a big part of me growing as an actor,” she said at the time.

Pitt has also addressed his romantic dealings a number of times following his divorce from Angelina Jolie. Rumors have especially taken off after his run-in with ex-wife Jennifer Aniston at the Screen Actors Guild Awards, which has also been labeled as just a friendship.

In January, Pitt joked about his love life while accepting a Golden Globe for his role in "Once Upon a Time ... in Hollywood."

“I wanted to bring my mom but I couldn't, because anyone I stand next to, they say I'm dating," Pitt teased. "And that would just be awkward."
