Diplo may have found himself a new roommate in TikTok star Quenlin Blackwell. Their controversial living arrangement was announced by Blackwell on Twitter where she gave proof of her connection to the Major Lazer creator.

Blackwell, who is 19, and the 41-year-old Diplo, seem to be only friends, despite accusations on social media that suggest the two are dating. Diplo has said they have music in common, which is the reason for their friendship, while Blackwell said that he is her "L.A. dad."

Blackwell responded to her followers who questioned her relationship with Diplo by saying, “I’m an adult. I’m not being groomed. Platonic relationships exist. I’ve been living here over a year…I’d rather break both of my legs and before forced to walk than pursue Diplo romantically and he’d rather choke. He’s barley [sic] in LA bc he’s so busy.

She continued in her tweet, “Diplo has given me the opportunity and security to create. Diplo and his team are my mentors in LA and they are my safety net. Diplo and his team have saved me numerous times from the weirdos in La."

“My parents trust him. I trust him. Y’all are making me feel icky. Diplo is my LA dad..nothing more,” she added.

For his part, Diplo has denied he is actively living with the teen. In a tweet posted Sunday, he said he is merely renting her one of his properties.

While Diplo has denied having a living arrangement with Blackwell, she has a TikTok series dedicated to living with him. The footage includes him styling his shows, listening to music, and other roommate habits.

Blackwell rose to fame at the age of 12 when she started a YouTube channel where she published beauty, fashion, and comedy videos. She currently has 784,000 subscribers on the platform and 1.7 million followers on Twitter. She also has a TikTok account, where she has amassed 4.1 million followers despite President Trump wanting to ban the controversial social media platform, which was overturned by a judge at the last minute in September.
