They’ve been friends for years and had one another’s backs recently when it came to doing what was best for their professional lives. Now, things will take another turn for Neil and Ashley on the Thursday, July 12 episode of “The Young and the Restless.”

Ashley (Eileen Davidson) and Neil (Kristoff St. John) have always been close, and recently, they’ve been looking out for one another in more ways than one, especially after they were both involved with Newman as things began unraveling due to JT’s (Thad Luckinbill) attacks on the company. Ashley quickly defected back to Jabot on the CBS soap, taking over as COO there, in order to get away from the company as it appeared to sink faster and faster. Neil was still stuck there however and was remaining loyal to Victor (Eric Braden) as his PR guy, but the job had also been taxing.

Ashley then decided to give Neil an insider tip, where she told him about another company that was threatening to cut ties with Newman Enterprises and encouraged him to scoop them up for Hamilton-Winters, which he runs with his son, Devon (Bryton James). In addition, she also confided in him that she has plans for Jabot, which she believes will eventually be run into the ground with Billy (Jason Thompson) at the helm.

Young and the Restless
Things get romantic between Neil (Kristoff St. John) and Ashley (Eileen Davidson) on the July 12, 2018 episode of “The Young and the Restless.”  CBS

Now, Neil will make the move Ashley tipped him off about, and when it proves to be a success for him, he will ask her to come over to his place for dinner. As the two spend time together, they will feel things turning intimate. The moment will be briefly interrupted by Victor, as he learns about what Neil has done and then ends their business relationship, but things will quickly pick up once more after he leaves.

Following the interruption, dinner will turn to dancing, and as they move around the room together, Neil will make a romantic gesture by kissing Ashley. If the two decide to pursue a romance, it could mean the beginning of one of Genoa City’s newest and most influential power couples.

“The Young and the Restless” airs weekdays at 12:30 p.m. on CBS.
