A six-foot-long python was found curled up in the wheel of a man’s car in Orlando, Florida, early Thursday morning. The man contacted the fire department but they refused help saying the snake was “big”.

After being denied assistance, Bill Siemon, the owner of the car, took the matter into his own hands and attempted to remove the snake from his vehicle but was unsuccessful. The snake had, at first, slithered out on its own but then curled up in the wheel well of the vehicle.

Bill was then joined by Channel 9 news reporter Steve Barrett, who tried to catch the snake and failed. Eventually, the duo managed to transfer the snake from the vehicle to a trash can. Later, in an interview, he said, “Trapper said he wouldn’t bite, but you know what? He has teeth, he is going to bite something.” After the incident, Steve added that the snake was calm and that it did not try to bite or injure anybody.

Snake rescuer Bob Cross took custody of the snake and said it will not be harmed. He speculated that the snake was most likely a house pet as it was very docile in nature.

In a similar incident earlier this month, a woman driving home from vacation along with her family saw a huge snake inside the car near her legs. The woman and her husband managed to maneuver the car to the side of the busy road and “jumped out of the car” along with their two daughters aged seven and nine. The cops were called and eventually, wildlife rescuers were also contacted. The snake had slithered away out of sight and was hiding due to sounds and vibrations. The rescuers then drove the car to a safer place and retrieved the snake after a five-and-a-half-hour struggle.
