Erin Burnett, CNN's newest headliner, can now also add bride to her resume.

People magazine is reporting that Burnett's fiancé, Citigroup executive David Rubulotta, proposed last month.

Burnett met Rubulotta while working as the VP of Citigroup/Citimedia, reports the DailyMail.

The couple was seen together at a party for Burnett's new CNN show, OutFront, in New York on Tuesday at the New York's Museum of Arts and Design at Columbus Circle.

The network is excited to have Burnett on board, as she is a popular name in broadcast journalism and will hopefully bring a ratings boost to the primetime line-up.

OutFront premieres on Monday Oct. 3 at 7PM EST on CNN. It is a weekday general news program.

Burnett is most well-known for her role as financial journalist on CNBC's Squawk on the Street. Prior to that, she had worked for CNN before as a writer and booker for the show Moneyline.

The brunette news reporter hails from Mardela Springs, MD. She went to Williams College in Williamstown, Massachusetts, and worked at Goldman Sachs as a financial analyst before becoming a TV personality.

Burnett has a vast array of reporting skills, though, and is not strictly focused on financial stories. Some of her other features include reporting from Cairo, Egypt, about the dangerous pirate situation and on various documentaries such as one on location in Dubai, UAE.
