International Chefs Day is celebrated worldwide on Oct. 20 to honor the kitchen-dwelling geniuses who present us with the most creative platters both in terms of looks and taste.

To be a chef could even be considered a noble profession as it involves feeding people. While many grow up aspiring to be successful and popular, a few creative individuals dream of helping keep the energy going by feeding them hearty meals, from wholesome breakfasts to fun cocktails, and come to finally don the chef's hat by training to be skillful in the kitchen.

The most important meal needs the best recipe, which is only dished out by a savvy chef who is often a great foodie himself. The hardest part of being a chef, however, is that you are expected to give only your best and nothing less, and professionals leave no stone unturned when it comes to living up to the challenge.

International Chefs Day was first observed in 2004 by Dr. Bill Gallagher, former president of The World Association of Chefs' Societies (WACS), and has since been celebrated on this day by promoting healthy eating habits among children.
