Meghan Markle and Prince Harry will be controlling their image on social media.

Just recently, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex were removed from the social media profile of Kensington Palace after they launched their separate and official Instagram account. In just a few minutes, Prince Harry and Markle amassed millions of followers.

According to Nick Ede, a branding specialist and company CEO, the couple are seeking to influence public perception. He described Markle and Prince Harry as “stand out” royals who are embracing their commitments in a “progressive and passionate way.” He is hopeful that the couple will share nice and candid photos and personal memories in their account. He also pointed out how the couple might use Instagram.

“I think we will see Harry and Meghan controlling their image and the communication of their life and relationship using Instagram as a tool to do this,” Ede said.

He also believes that it’s likely for the Duke and Duchess of Sussex to share the first photo of their baby on the said platform.

“I wouldn’t be surprised if the first official image of their newborn child is placed on Instagram before anyone else has an opportunity to take it,” Ede said.

“This way they are in control and they will be giving their fans what they want but in a safe, well-communicated way.”

Prince Harry and Markle’s decision to have a separate social media account may result in Prince William and Kate Middleton losing followers. A number of netizens admitted that they unfollowed Kensington Palace after learning about the Duke and Duchess of Sussex’s official Instagram account.

Some of them decided to unfollow Kensington Palace because they only wanted to see Prince Harry and Markle. Others said that they were not happy with how the palace handled the issues against Markle online.

Meanwhile, the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge’s solid supporters were overjoyed about the split. They were pleased that the Kensington Palace account would be exclusive to Prince William and Middleton.

The palace has already announced the fab four’s official separation. Prince Harry and Markle are moving closer to Queen Elizabeth II as they will now be based at Buckingham Palace. On the other hand, Prince William and Middleton will remain at Kensington Palace.
