Melania Trump drew flak on social media once more over the newly-unveiled White House tennis pavilion after the first lady participated in the recent Toys for Tots drive.

On Tuesday, Trump attended the annual drive for the fourth consecutive year in a row and helped deliver new toys to underprivileged children. The FLOTUS is said to have donated books and soccer balls this year to the charity event hosted by the U.S. Marine Corps Reserve, The Hill reported.

However, Trump's participation in the Toys for Tots drive did not impress some Twitter users as it comes just two days after she revealed that the year-long renovation of the White House tennis court area had been completed. They pointed out that the money for the project could have been used for better causes.

"Worthy cause. I bet the money from the tennis pavilion would have purchased a lot of toys aye?" one commented on Trump's post about the drive on Twitter.

"I wrote ALSO how THAT MONEY SPENT ON THAT USELESS TENNIS 'PAVILION' COULD BE SPENT ON TOYS FOR TOTS. WHY DOES THE WHITE HOUSE NEED AN EXPENSIVE PAVILION??" another wrote.

Some users also urged Trump to give attention to the migrant children who were separated from their families at the U.S.-Mexico border and allow them to reunite with their parents.

"I would be impressed if she visited the kids in cages and gave them toys and told her hubby to find their parents!" a user wrote.

"You could start by releasing all the kids in cages. I’m sure that would bring holiday cheer to hundreds of parents separated for months/years from their children," another said.

Amid the criticisms, many also came to Trump's defense, with one stressing that the money used for the tennis pavilion renovation came from private donations and was specifically meant for that project. Several also thanked the first lady for taking the time to hand out gifts to children in need for the holiday season.

"That was private donations specifically for the Tennis pavilion," the Twitter user wrote.

"You are a beautiful amazing First Lady! I am so very proud of the work you have done and will continue to do for our country. I know it has not been easy. But God has his hand on you both thank you!” another wrote.

During Tuesday's drive, Trump chatted with kids before helping Marines and children sort toys and make Christmas cards. The latter were included in each gift delivered to the recipients.

The first lady also gave a speech during the live-streamed event, where she spoke about the importance of being kind.

"Remember that small acts of kindness such as calling your friends and neighbors and making holiday cards for nursing homes can go a long way in spreading cheer and helping those struggling with change," she said. "Let’s all do a part to be best during these difficult times."
