There will some challenging days ahead for Félix Gallardo (Diego Luna) in “Narcos: Mexico” Season 2. Speaking about the plot of the show, Luna said in a recent interview that the story this time around will be about the fall of his character.

The first season of the popular TV series that was released in 2018 was about the rise of Félix Gallardo as a powerful cartel boss. In a recent interview with Variety, Luna said that the show will now “explore the fall of Félix Gallardo.”

Luna pointed out that his character made many mistakes in the first season, like getting rid of his family and friends. Now, he will have to pay for those mistakes. The actor teased that the plot is “interesting” because it is closer to the world events that are happening today.

One of the aspects about the show that Luna likes is that it is about the complexity of the situation rather than being about one character. He explained that the story is not about the good and the bad, but about “all the grays in between.”

How will Félix Gallardo go down in “Narcos: Mexico” Season 2? There is a new DEA agent who will go after the cartel this year and he is someone who is determined to get the job done no matter the cost. A teaser that has been released online shows how the law enforcement agencies are going to “throw the rule book out the window” in order to take down the cartel.

A previously released trailer of the show teased Félix Gallardo running a divided empire, The Hollywood Reporter reported. The drug lord will have to manage the conflicts within his organization while he prepares to take on his enemies.

“Narcos: Mexico” Season 2 will premiere on Feb. 13 on Netflix.
