Prince Harry has lost his credibility, according to some netizens.

For weeks, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex are in hot water due to their decision to take private flights during their vacations. Prince Harry and Markle took four private flights in 11 days despite their continuous call to the people to do their bits of good for the environment.

The netizens were disappointed with the royal couple and called each of them a “hypocrite.” At one point, one netizen even said that Prince Harry disgraced Queen Elizabeth II for preaching and not practicing what he says.

Prince Harry has finally addressed why he opted to travel in private jets with his family. According to him, he did it because he wanted to ensure his family’s safety. He stressed that he traveled most of his life and took commercial flights in most of his trips. However, some netizens weren’t convinced.

“Does anyone care what the celebrity prince says now . He had lost his credibility,” one netizen wrote on Twitter.

“He’s making a joke of the monarchy,” another user wrote.

Prince Harry has been dubbed the “Carbon Footprince” for taking private jets and he does it even without his wife Markle and son, Archie. Just days after saying that he only wanted two kids to save the planet, Prince Harry flew in a private jet when he joined Google’s camp in Sicily.

Labour MP Teresa Pearce encouraged Prince Harry and Markle to lead by example. For her, what they are doing are very different from what they are saying.

“Given the position they have taken publicly about being responsible on climate change, this does seem an anomaly which they should look at,” Pearce said.

“It’s up to all of us to cut our carbon emissions, and the number of flights we take a year. That is really important — and someone as high profile as that should lead by example. I find this quite surprising because it doesn’t fit with their public image and the way they’re so concerned about the planet and the environment.”

Meanwhile, some still defended the Duke and Duchess of Sussex. One said that Prince Charles and Prince William are doing the same as Prince Harry. Another said that Prince Harry’s uncle Prince Andrew, who was dubbed “Air Miles Andy,” is way ahead of him.
