Demi Moore is the victim of a death hoax that began trending on Twitter late Friday, with the topic RIP Demi Moore fueling speculations that the actress has died.

But the Twitter rumor is not true, as there has been no official report that the recently hospitalized actress has died.

Moore was hospitalized on Monday, after falling semi-unconscious and suffering seizure-like symptoms after she allegedly inhaled nitrous oxide or did whip-its. Nitrous oxide is commonly called laughing gas. It is used in surgery and dentistry. Whip-it is the act of inhaling the compressed gas from inside a whipped cream as a means to get high.

Moore was reportedly treated at her home by paramedics and taken to a hospital. TMZ reported that paramedics on the scene were told that Moore was doing whip-its, or inhaling nitrous oxide, immediately before she started having the seizures.

Moore's representative has issued a statement to the media that read, Because of the stresses in her life right now, Demi has chosen to seek professional assistance to treat her exhaustion and improve her overall health. She looks forward to getting well and is grateful for the support of her family and friends.

An edited version of the 911 phone call made when Moore fell ill was released on Friday. Moore was described on the tape as convulsing, semi-conscious and burning up.

With Moore facing such a difficult time right now, when RIP Demi Moore began trending on Twitter, fans went into a frenzy before finding out it was just a hoax.
