A teenaged gunman with a prior arrest record shot an 11-year-old boy and seven other people at a house party in the Bronx, N.Y., early Sunday morning and has not yet been apprehended by the police, the Daily News reports.

Oneil Dasilva, 17, of Mount Vernon, N.Y., is believed to have sprayed the party with gunfire following some sort of dispute, and witnesses to the shooting were unwilling to answer a reporter's questions about the incident.

A 24-year old man is in critical condition after being taken the hospital with a life-threatening gunshut wound to the check. The remaining victims, between the ages of 11 and 21, are expected to survive.

Dasilva has a mug shot on file with the New York City police department.

At a press conference Sunday morning, Mayor Michael Bloomberg said that there were 25 shootings in New York City on Saturday night, and that 11 took place at the same party. Gothamist is waiting for a response from the mayor's office on whether Bloomberg was referring to the house party shooting in the Bronx, and if there was a mistake in the number he quoted.
