On Wednesday, Tom Hanks announced that both he and his wife, Rita Wilson, had been diagnosed with coronavirus, which causes COVID-19. Naturally, fans of the "Cast Away" actor became concerned about the famous couple. Now, his sons Chet and Colin Hanks have spoken out and given a few updates on their family members.

Chet took to Instagram after the news broke to give fans a quick overview of his parents' current situation.

After acknowledging that the reports were, in fact, true regarding their diagnosis. He then elaborated on their present condition.

"I just got off the phone with them. They both are fine. They're not even that sick," he said, adding that neither Hanks nor Wilson were worried about the future. Continuing, he said that they are both going through the necessary health precautions. The "Shameless" actor's post can be seen below.

Colin, who starred on "Life in Pieces," also shared a bit about what has been going on via his Twitter. "My parents are receiving excellent care in Australia and are doing well (and in good spirits) given the circumstances." He then added that the family is confident that they will make a full recovery.

Tom and Rita share sons Chester Marlon (who goes by Chet), 29, and Truman Theodore, 24. Tom shares children Colin, 42, and Elizabeth Ann, 37, with ex-wife Samantha Lewes.

Prior to Hanks and Wilson learning that they had, in fact, contracted coronavirus, rumors had also circulated that "Harry Potter" actor Daniel Radcliffe had also come down with the disease. Due to a fake BBC News Twitter account's tweet, fans had also started to develop new concerns around him as well. However, the tweet was eventually proven to be false when Radcliffe's reps spoke out to confirm that it was completely unfounded.

Aside from the aforementioned rumors and reports, COVID-19 has continued to remain a topic of conversation for a variety of reasons. Not only has it caused "Jeopardy!" and "The Wendy Williams Show" to change their daily operations, but it has also caused a spike in illegal file-sharing thanks to a particular movie.
