  • Khosay Sharif allegedly killed 3 of her male family members Tuesday
  • Sharif killed herself after the alleged murders
  • She shared a post online saying her twin sister suffered domestic abuse for years

A 31-year-old optician from Massachusetts who fatally shot three family members before killing herself shared a chilling Facebook post revealing the possible motive behind the murder-suicide.

Khosay Sharif from Lynn allegedly killed her 66-year-old father, 34-year-old brother-in-law, and his 56-year-old dad before shooting herself Tuesday, Boston Globe reported.

Sharif's father and brother-in-law were found dead from apparent gunshot wounds at a home, while the brother-in-law's dad was found dead in his car. Around an hour later, the cops found Sharif dead inside her car in a Stop & Shop parking lot about a mile away.

Moments after the fatal shootings, Sharif shared a Facebook post saying her twin sister suffered domestic violence for years, and her relatives who were aware of the abuse turned a blind eye.

"Several months ago, I found out that my sister has been abused by her husband for 14 years (since they first met). My parents & his parents knew all these years but have not really done much but say 'work it out 'what will people say if you separate' or even victim blaming," she wrote.

"He has choked [sic] her, slapped, kicked, swore at her & the most recent a year and a half ago has punched her in the face," the post read.

"I will not deal with this nonsense," Sharif wrote, adding that she used mild language so that the post will not be taken down.

Sharif also accused her father of being abusive toward her mother. "Maybe that's why my mom did not protect her own daughter because she's a victim herself," she wrote.

Sharif then addressed her twin sister and wrote, "I hope you start healing & actually teach your daughters that abuse is not ok as they have also witnessed him slap you. I asked how they felt about that & they said they were scared & didn't know what to do. Let's not pass this on to your kids as it has been passed on to you."

Although in her post, Sharif accused the deceased male members of domestic violence, she did not give any other hint about the alleged crimes. She also did not mention her plan to kill herself, NY Post reported.

Meanwhile, on a GoFundMe page set up by the family, a relative wrote that they are heartbroken and traumatized by the tragedy.

"Time and time again, mental health is demonstrated to be such a prominent issue in society. Abuse of all types takes a significant toll on individuals affected and leads to damage and loss in many ways. Our family was a victim of this scenario, and now two young children are fatherless. We are absolutely traumatized, heartbroken, and lost," the page read.
