Three men disguised as flower deliverymen stole $20,000 worth of valuables when they invaded a jewelry store owner's home in Jamaica Estates, Queens. They also assaulted his wife.

The incident happened around 1 p.m. on Dec. 18 when an unidentified man rang the doorbell of a mansion, claiming to be a flower deliveryman, reported ABC7 New York.

Based on the surveillance footage, which has since been made public, the man, who was holding a bouquet of yellow flowers, rang the doorbell. The female homeowner peeked through the window, saw the flowers and opened the door. According to the report, the man might have given her husband's name when she opened the door.

Immediately, the man pushed the woman to the ground and struck her face with an unknown object. A second man who got out of a white vehicle parked nearby joined him in ransacking the home, followed by another man from a black sedan. They reportedly cut the phone lines and the internet upon entering the house.

According to the police, the trio stormed the house, stole $20,000-worth of jewelry and clothing, including mink coats. They also assaulted the woman, threatening to kidnap and kill her. The trio tied her up, stabbed her with a kitchen knife and threw a taser at her face.

The victim's husband is a prominent jewelry store owner in Manhattan's Diamond District.

Police said the robbers had fled the scene using two separate vehicles—a white Toyota Sienna and another black vehicle.

The woman managed to free herself after an hour. She ran out of the house and contacted the police. She suffered injuries on her ear and swelling in her face.

According to her husband, she was beaten badly by the robbers. The victim was brought to North Shore Long Island Jewish Medical Center, where she was being treated for her injuries.

The suspects were described as men between the ages of 20 and 25. They all had dark complexions and were clad in all black. They were between 5 feet 4 inches and 5 feet 7 inches tall.
