The still unmasked White House whistleblower named "Anonymous" asserts president Donald Trump will not leave office even if he's impeached by the House and convicted by the Senate, or if he's defeated in 2020.

"Anonymous" is the pen name of a White House senior official that wrote a scathing anti-Trump op-ed in The New York Times on Sept. 5, 2018. He followed this up with a new book, "A Warning," that will become available to the public on November 19.

The 259-page book, which is a successor to the NYT op-ed, is a blistering character study of Trump. A copy of the book obtained by media paints a horrific portrait of Trump as cruel, inept, impatient, and a danger to the United States. "Anonymous" also portrays Trump as dangerous even as he rejects the restrictions placed on presidents by Congress and the courts.

In his book, "Anonymous" claims Trump ordered aides more than a year ago to launch a “deliberate and coordinated campaign” to obstruct an impeachment inquiry by House Democrats and other congressional investigations.

“He will not exit quietly -- or easily,” wrote the author about Trump. “It is why at many turns he suggests ‘coups’ are afoot and a ‘civil war’ is in the offing. He is already seeding the narrative for his followers – a narrative that could end tragically.”

"Anonymous" wrote that before the 2018 midterm elections, the White House counsel’s office began crafting a contingency plan to protect Trump if Democrats gained control of Congress. In the end, Democrats only regained control of the House but with it the ability to launch investigations and issue subpoenas.

“The goal wasn’t just to prepare for a barrage of legislative requests,” wrote "Anonymous." “It was a concerted attempt to fend off congressional oversight.”

"When Democrats finally took the House, the unspoken administration policy toward Capitol Hill became: Give as little as possible, wait as long as possible. Even routine inquiries are now routed to the lawyers, who have found unique ways to say 'We can’t right now,' 'Give us a few months,' 'We’re going to need to put you on hold,' 'Probably not,' 'No,' and 'Not a chance in hell'.”

"Anonymous" says the Trump administration's refusal to comply with congressional requests and subpoenas "go beyond standard practice and have turned into a full block-and-tackle exercise against congressional investigators across an array of Trump administration controversies."

"Anonymous" asserts Trump is totally incapable of leading the United States through a mammoth international crisis. He describes how the president refuses to listen to intelligence and national security briefings.

The book reveals many current members of the Trump administration continue to deliberately undermine his more inane suggestions and orders for the good of the country.

"Anonymous," who claims many other current and former administration officials share his views, tells of senior officials waking up in the morning “in a full-blown panic” over the wild pronouncements Trump had made on Twitter.

“It’s like showing up at the nursing home at daybreak to find your elderly uncle running pantsless across the courtyard and cursing loudly about the cafeteria food, as worried attendants tried to catch him,” wrote "Anonymous."

“You’re stunned, amused, and embarrassed all at the same time. Only your uncle probably wouldn’t do it every single day, his words aren’t broadcast to the public, and he doesn’t have to lead the US government once he puts his pants on.”
