Alligators are proving they know how to get around Florida just as well as the people.

The last week has seen a slew of new viral videos emerge online showing just how curious and fearless the state’s alligator population is getting when it comes to travel. One of the standouts was an alligator that managed to climb its way into Naval Air Base Jacksonville.

A bystander saw the alligator making its way to the fence surrounding the base and quickly got their phone out. Right after the bystander started filming, the alligator started scaling the fence slowly to get to the other side.

The gator was able to make it over the fence, landing on its stomach before continuing into the base.

And that wasn’t the only gator that felt like exploring.

Another was spotted in the middle of the streets in St. Petersburg, Florida, during a day of heavy rain for the city.

A driver saw the gator moving through a puddle in the streets and quickly got their phone out to snap some quick pictures. The driver also got some video of the gator enjoying the large puddle that had formed in the street.

After passing, the pictures and video quickly appeared on the driver’s Facebook page.
